Columbia County Board Of Elections Issues Early Voting Statement

LAKE CITY, FL --  The Columbia County Board of Elections has issued the following statement about the upcoming election and early voting procedures:

"Florida will hold its General Election on November 3, 2020.

Early Voting will begin October 22, 2020 and run through October 31, 2020. For your convenience, two Early Voting sites are available. One is in Fort White at the Community Center, located at 17579 SW State Road 47, and the other site is at the Supervisor of Elections Office, 971 W Duval St. Ste. 102 Lake City. A registered voter of Columbia County may cast their ballot at either location during the Early Voting time frame. 

Early Voting for the Lake City Supervisor of Elections Office, 971 W Duval St. Ste. 102 will be October 22, 2020 – October 31, 2020 Thursday through Saturday, 8:30 am – 7 pm.

Early Voting for the Fort White site, 17579 SW State Road 47, will be October 22, 2020 – October 31, 2020, Thursday through Saturday, 10 am – 6 pm.

The 2020 General Election features a total of 37 races/choices. This results in a very large ballot, with some voters having up to three pages front and back to vote on. Your Supervisor of Elections will be operating at full capacity, using all available resources in order to provide a smooth voting experience to the approximately 44,000 voters in Columbia County. That being said, there is still the possibility of longer wait times at the polls and during Early Voting. The Supervisor of Elections strongly recommends using a Sample Ballot, your Sample Ballot can be found at, before coming in to vote.
